I learned alot with this painting. I still vividly remember the image that kicked off this painting - no pun intended - it was two kids kicking a soccer ball between them as they went up the road - strangely in Warrnambool - where I now live. The sky in the background was immense. However this sky is actually taken from a painting in the NGV - when I was trying to learn how to paint. Do you know the painting? I always thought it was a Turner... But it isn't, it's right next to it in the European Collection.
