This painting just worked from the beginning. I've held onto it for a long time. Happily so. The painting is from 2009, it faces East... Yet it was painted in and from my favourite place where I now live - Warrnambool. The inspiration came from the bridge that the person is climbing upon... For as long as I could remember there would be a new graffiti slogan written on the bridge. I imagined this person many a time, brewing up the words to write. They were always engaging, if not confronting - I wish I could remember them, do you know any!?
